Relief Oasis

About Us

The work of staying.

Relief Oasis was founded in 2018 as The SEED Initiative. In 2024 it became Relief Oasis, expanding its mandate across human development, poverty alleviation, and environmental sustainability.

Our history

Almost a decade of community-led work.

The SEED Initiative was founded in Lagos in 2018 with a commitment to take action independent of government or external institutions. Its first outreach delivered school supplies for children and food supplies for adults at The Destitutes Home, Okobaba.

Over the years, the organization built a documented record of impact and work across education, health, food security, elderly care, and school infrastructure, primarily in the Ilaje community and surrounding Lagos neighborhoods.

In 2024, the work expanded into Ghana with The Oasis Centre and The VOW Foundation Collaboration. The organization adopted the name Relief Oasis to reflect a wider mandate and a long-term institutional model.
